Renewable Energy
The Taggerty Group, in association with the Murrindindi Climate Network, has been involved in various types of renewable energy systems for many years. Starting with a Feasibility Study for a BioEnergy plant in Marysville after the 2009 bushfires, they have investigated several other forms of renewable energy including solar panels, batteries, microgrids and micro pumped hydro energy storage systems. They are also shareholders in the Hepburn Windfarm.
As part of their studies, they have utilised modelling skills, developed over many years in the transport planning sector, to develop several modelling packages such as the SEPAC model (Solar Electricity Production and Consumption), and a Rainwater System Modelling package.
